Robert Nettleton

Robert is Chief Executive of Bromford Flagship LiveWest (BFL), one of the UK’s largest place-based affordable housing associations providing homes for almost 300,000 customers across the south west, central and east of England.

He leads an organisation delivering over 3,000 new homes each year, with the scale, financial strength and long-term investment capacity to respond to rising housing need. Under his leadership, BFL delivers locally, coordinates regionally and is supported centrally, bringing together skills, relationships and judgement to focus on what customers and places need most.

Under Robert's leadership BFL has seen strong performance, including Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) of 84%, delivery of thousands of homes a year and sector-leading financial resilience. Earlier in his career, he held CEO roles at Merlin Housing and Coastline Housing.

His career has been driven by the fundamental belief that housing is the foundation from which people can build better lives.
